The Nonsuch Island Nature Reserve is home to the Bermuda Petrel or "Cahow" Translocation Project where this critically endangered Lazarus species is being brought back after 300+ years being thought extinct.

As part of its Mission to leverage technology to solve Conservation challenges, LookBermuda's Nonsuch Expeditions CahowCam project in conjunction with the Bermuda Government Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources has been broadcasting LIVE from the underground nesting burrows for the past 7 years.

Over the past 2 seasons over 15 million minutes of video were watched through a new partnership with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology which is being expanded upon in 2019.

Our star pair has now returned for the start of the 2019 Cahow Nesting Season, sign up for our Newsletter and stay tuned for upcoming announcements regarding Terrestrial and Ocean Exploration around Bermuda and in the Sargasso Sea...
