This is David Attenborough’s greatest message of hope - revealing 100 years of incredible ocean discovery and why there’s nowhere more important for all life on Earth than the ocean.
The Private invitation-only Bermuda Premiere will be presented by film producers 10% for the Ocean and the Sargasso Sea Commission, with support, and hosted by the Nonsuch Expeditions, to bring the local Ocean and Conservation communities together in the lead up to World Ocean Day and the UN Ocean Conference in Nice.
Co-produced by Open Planet Studios and Silverback Films, Ocean with David Attenborough showcases the wonder of life under the seas and exposes the realities and challenges facing our ocean as never-before-seen, from destructive fishing techniques to mass coral reef bleaching.
Yet the story is one of optimism, with Attenborough pointing to inspirational stories from around the world to show that the ocean can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.
The Nonsuch Expeditions founder Jean-Pierre Rouja had previously worked with this new film’s Director of Underwater Photography Doug Anderson and producer Silverback Films to produce a Sargasso Fish sequence for the BBC Hunt series which was also narrated by David Attenborough, and filmed in Bermuda over a month period in 2015.
